JAPANESE CHERRY TREES
               by Gerald A. McBreen

Blush blossoms scatter ahead
   of the slightest breeze
   turning green grass pink.
Cherry blooms everywhere;
   clutter curbs,
   obstruct drains,
   cause street floods.
And no cherries!
Japanese revenge.
